NEW PLYMOUTH.

August 25„ A Social. A most enjoyable social was held in St. Mary's Sunday School by members of the parish, to bid farewell to Mr, Mrs and Misses Skinner. 4 ho Rev. Mr Wilkinson (acting vicar) presided. Mr Skinner will be greatly missed, especially in Church matters, he and his wife and daughters being so enthusiastically interested in parish work. They were the recipients of many handsome presents, and during the evening Mr Wilkinson presented Mr Skinner with an illuminated address from the members of the vestry. Mr S. Shaw, as superintendent of the Sunday School, then made a presentation of a handsome china cabinet. Mrs Skinner was also presented with a case containing desert and fish knives and forks, and a set of fish servers. The Misses Skinner were each presented with gold watch bangles, and to Mr IT. Skinner a pair of gold sleeve links. After a musical programme . a dainty supper Was served.
