GISBORNE.

July 15. Personal. Quite a gloom has been east over the town during the past week owing to the death of Air. A. F. Kennedy, one of the most popula r men in our midst. The deceased gentleman took a keen interest in all things for the benefit of the town and district, and it will be hard to fill the gap. Air C. D. Kennedy returned to Napier on Sunday having been in Gisborne during iris brother's illness. Mr N. Kettle came up from Napier by the Hauroto on Sunday on a business visit. Mrs ami Miss Symes left on Sunday for a few weeks' visit to Rotorua.
