Mrs Cock. Mrs Fell. Afiss E. Booth Mis-es Mrs Price. Mis.s l>»ggjit(. Mre and Miss Conte. The ladies* semi final championship matches resulted in a win for Miss E. I.edger, vv bo defeated Miss Booth, and Alisg D. Hair, who was auctessful against Miss L. Tomlinson. A Indie** bogt»y foursome played during the week was won by Miss Gladys Adams and Miss Vera T-eggatL
Bridge. Several small bridge parties have been held during the week. Airs Burnes invited several friends to meet her sister Airs J. Williams, of Sydney. Some of the players were: Mr and Mrs Hugh Robinson, Airs and Aliss Booth, Airs Harrison. Airs Allen, Airs Coote. Airs Allen gave another bridge party when some of the players were:—Airs Barr, Mrs Booth, Airs Hamilton Smith. Airs S. Gibbs, Airs Bunny, Miss Richmond, Aliss Gibbs, Airs Dodson, Aliss Ledger. Alias Sutherland-Smith was another bridge hostess during the week, when some of those present were: Aliss Richmond, Air. Wyvern Wilson (Auckland), Mr. and Airs. Price, Air. and Aliss Houlkcr. Aliss Hodson, Alessrs. Hamilton, Dalziel and Rowley (Gisborne). Recital. An enjoyable elocutionary recital was given Jast week by Mrs. J. 11. Nicholson and her pupils. There were a number of invited guests present among whom were: Aliss Lorimer, Misses Atkinson, Aliss Gibbs, Mrs. and Miss Judson, Airs. Leggo, Mrs. Fell. Personal. Air. and Mrs. J. Williams (Sydney), who have been the guests of Mrs. A. P. Burnes, have left for Wellington. Air. Arthur Duncan, who has been spending a short holiday in Nelson, has returned to Wellington. Aliss AfcKellar (Wellington) is making a short stay here. Air. and Airs. S. Tomlinson (Napier) are the guests of Airs. Tomlinson. Aliss Ledger has gone to (he Empire City. Air. Langley Adams ami his daughter Aliss Eileen Adams have gone for a trip to the Houtli Sea Islands.
