_ June 2. Farewell Tea. The last of the farewell teas to Mrs. Birks waa given last week by Mrs. Moor-
house. Mr. and Mrs. Birks left the following Wednesday. Mrs. Moorhouse's te* was ■ most enjoyable little affair. The guests numbered* about fifteen <o twenty. Music and ehat were the order the afternoon. Mrs. Moorhouse received her guests in a handsome golden brown chiffon taffeta gown, and Mr*. Birks was wearing a bright navy doth tailor-made, relieved with white and navy braiding. Pens awl.
Mrs. Kenny has returned to Parnell, after a visit of some weeks to Mrs. Maifroy. Rotorua.
Miss Eva Empson is visitTng friends in Auckland.
Mr. and Mrs. J. 8. George left for Sydney last Monday, on a three months’ holiday bent.
The Rev. P. Davis, who has just been ordained, commenced his duties as curate of St. Luke’s Chureh, Rotorua, last month.
Mrs. Dick (Gisborne) is staying at "Brents.'’ °
