The first round of the Hope-Lewis Rose Bowl was played on Thursday, when Miss Gwen. Gorrie defeated Miss Jean Richmond:, 3 up and 2. Miss Sybil Payton won from Miss Hilda by 1 hole. In the second round Miss'Cecil Hull received a bye from Miss Jessie Reid. Fortunately, these matches were over before the awful downpour of rain and the thunderstorm, which was very severe. The second round of this must be completed on or before Monday, Bth May. The May medal was played for in ideal golfing weather on Monday, and resulted in three players tieing for first place: Miss Winnie Cotter, gross score 108, handicap 19—89; Miss Marjory’ Towle, 113—25—89: Miss Cecil Hull, 118—29— 89; Miss Rachael Gorrie, 110—19—91.
