April 20th. Personal. The Minister for Public Works, the Hon. R. Mackenzie, Mrs. Mackenzie, and Mr. Polson (private secretary) stayed in i’icton for a few days during, the week. Mr. T. Wilford, M.P., Mayor of Wellington, and Mrs. Wilford, were in Picton for the Easter holidays. The Hon. C. H. Mills and Mrs. Mills are spending the Easter holidays at Eli Bay, Pelorus Sound. Mr. George Allport, Secretary for Marine, visited his mother in Picton during the holidays. Miss Ada Wynn-Williiams, Wellington, spent the Easter holidays with the Misses Harris, Devon-street. Mr. and Mrs. J. Tripe, and Miss Tripe, Koromiko, have returned from a visit to the North Island. Mr. and Mrs. Seater, Parahake, returned from a visit to Nelson. Mrs. Beswick has returned from a three months’ visit to Auckland. Miss Jeffries, Wellington, is visiting

friends in Picton.
