February 4. Mrs. A. Eliot and Mrs. Pickett were the hostesses at tennis on Saturday last. Mr. and Mrs. A. D. Thompson, Miss Wilson, Miss Armstrong, the Misses Porter, Miss D. Waldegrave, Miss. Forsaith were a few of those .present.. On next Wednesday a garden party is to be held in Mr. L. A. Abraham’s grounds in aid of the Children s Homo Building Fund. Personal. Mrs. Porritt and children have returned from Pliiumerton. Mr. Hughes, accountant in the local branch of the Bank of Australasia, has been made manager at Levin. Mrs. G. W. Keeling and children are back from a stay of some weeks at Plirnnierton. Mrs. arid Miss McKnight have returned from visiting friends in Wanganui. Mrs. Wallace and children have returned from Christchurch. Mrs. G. W. Harden is back from visiting friends in Wanganui. Mrs. J. R. Tripe has returned from Day’s Bay. The Misses Morrah are back from a six weeks’ stay with relatives in Hawke's Bay. 1 Mrs. A. Sutherland and her little son are at Pliiumerton. Mrs. Smith and family (Bank of New Zealand) have returned from a six weeks’ visit to the Foxton beach. Mrs. Adam McDonald and children have returned from the Foxton beach. Miss Dora Reed is back from a month’s
visit to Gisborne.
