December 21. At the Theatre. The visit of Nellie Stewart to Nelson was a red-letter day in the annals of play-goers. The charming “Sweet Nell” was recalled many times at the end of each performance, and was the recipient of many floral tributes. Miss Stewart was well supported by Mr. Harcourt Beatty and her company. Commander Orme-Webb, R.N. (England), brother of Colonel Webb, of this city, is visiting Nelson, accompanied by Airs, ami the Aliases Orme-Webb. Airs. T. Afaunsell (Carterton) is the gucet of Airs. A. T. Maginnity.
Miss N. Trolove (Kaikoura) is visiting her mother, Airs. Trolove. Airs, and Aliss Selanders are back from their visit to Wellington. Aliss Heaps has returned from Wanganui. Airs. Scott (Christchurch) and Airs. O. Stuckey (Masterton) have been in Nelson for the marriage of Air. Walter Lawrence Scott (India). Aliss F. Richmond is away in Wellington. Aliss Livesey (Christchurch) who has been the guest of Airs. Glasgow, "Brooklands,” has, returned to her home. Aliss Al. Barkas (Timaru) is staying with friends here. Aliss AV. Isitt (Wellington) is visiting here. Aliss Talbot (Richmond) has returned from her visit to Christchurch. Airs. McLaren (Wakapuaka) who has been visiting friends in Wellington, has returned.
