During Jhis last week we have had pome glorious days and <diarp frost in the morning, followed by brilliant sunshine. Already 1 have seen a few spring hats in-.the streets, #nd at the beginning of next month the leading drapers are making their first display of spring millinery, etc. 1 noticed Mrs. W. Harden wearing a navy coat and skirt and toque of deep pink flowers; Mrs. 11. Cooper, Cornflower him* toilette with hat of Baine shade and sealskin coat; Airs. McKnight, grey striped coat and skirt, Qvhite ostrich feat her.boa, black hat with green velvet ami clusters of violets; Mrs. Connell, a brown utriped coat and pkirt,’white ostrich feather boa and hat trimmed with gold tissue and gold rose; (Miss H.-Porter, light , grey coat and skirt, hat with pink loses; Mrs. G. W. {Keeling, black coat and skirt with black find white collar, black hat with wings, Atone marten furs and mull'; Airs. A. Eliot, stylish navy coat and skirt, black plumed hat; Mrs. Purchno (Auckland), mauve cloth roat and skirt, with black feather boa’, and hat with black wings; (Mrs. McGill, wine-coloured coat and fikirt, toque of same shade; Mrs. G. (Bagnall, in black with Aable coat, black b.’t with wings. Forsoiiial. Illi’ Misses Russell have icturr.'l from (Wellington. * Alias Bull (Auckland) is the guest of Airs. R. P. Abraham. The Aliases Sybil ami Sylvia Abraham are away in Wellington.
Mr. Southey Baker (Auckland) is a visitor to Palmenston. Alias Margaret Waldegrave has gone ito Christchurch. Alias Gemmel has returned after spending a month in Wanganui.
