July 29. An Assembly Dance. Last Wednesday evening Misses Brett and Douglas held another of their very enjoyable dances in the Foresters’ Hall. The supper table was prettily decorated with yellow spring flowers. Miss Brett was wearing a pale blue chiffon taffeta Empire frock; Miss Douglas, pink silk, relieved with rose velvet; Airs. Stewart, white muslin, trimmed with lace; Airs. Glean, black silk; Airs. R. McLean, yellow brocade, relieved with violet sequin trimming; Airs. V. Nolan, cream satin charmeuse, trimmed with gold embroidery; Airs. Wallace, cream satin charmouse Empire frock; Miss Caplen, reseda green silk, relieved with black velvet; Miss E. Gaplen, black silk, white lace berthe; Miss White, floral silk Empire frock; Miss Empson (Rotorua), blue chiffon taffeta, corsage trimmed with sequin trimming; Aliss Glenn, white muslin, trimmed with insertion and black velvet; Aliss V.
