July 6. A Dance. i On Thursday evening Miss Irene Horton held a most enjoyable dance in the Orange Hall. Supper was provided by the ladies present, and the floor was in excellent order for dancing. Music was supplied by Mrs Lambie. Misses Fisher, and Barnett. Ewart, white muslin: Miss Brittain. white silk dress; Miss Fisher, white muslin; Miss Barnett, white dress; Miss Bull, pretty white muslin; Miss Niven, blue muslin; Miss Maclaine, creme dress; Miss Read (Wellington), white muslin. Harley (Nelson) is the guest of her aunt, Mrs B. Clouston, “Springlands.” Mr R. Hngoiiin (Takaka) and Mr W. F. Bullen, ‘The Elms.” have returned after spending a short holiday at “Riverlands.” Miss Alice Neville is visiting friends in Wellington. Miss Olive Mills has returned to Wellington after spending a short holiday with Mr and Mrs Neville at “Thurston.” Mrs Masefield, “Manama.” is the guest of Mrs W. Clouston, “St. Andrew’s.” Invitations are issued for a series of assembly dances to be held during the next three months, the first one to take plane on Friday evening. July Sth. at the Grosvenor Hall. Mrs Foster and Miss Foster. Christchurch. are the guests of Mr and Mrs B. Coleman, “Vernon.” Miss MeKellar Wicks. Wellington, is the guest of Mrs < . .1. Griffiths.
