May 2(1. On the Links. Last Saturday afternoon quite a number journeyed down to the Riverland Golf Links. Afternoon tea was provided by the ladies present. Some of those I noticed were: Mrs. P. Hulme, Mrs. D. Chaytor, Mrs. L. Griffiths, Mrs. Maclaine, Misses MeLaughlan. Chapman, B. Griffiths, A. Neville, Nevin, O. Marsh, C. Clouston, E. Mowat, Messrs. B. Moore, C. McShane, Churchward, Mortimer, Hart, Smale. A Concert. Last evening a most enjoyable and successful concert was held in the Sundayschool Room at Renwicktown. The weather was all that could be desired—still, refreshing, and most gloriously moonlight. The programme was a wellarranged one, and was much appreciated by those in attendance. At the conclusion of the evening’s entertainment the residents of Renwicktown kindly invited their Blenheim visitors to supper. Some of those present were: Mrs. Canavan, Mrs. Williams, Mrs. Perrett, Misses Grace (3), Newton, H. Marsh, A. Neville, S. Rogers, H. Williams, D. Perrett, Barnett, Messrs. Perrett (2), D’Lambert, Gould, Edinjer, J. Scott-Smith, F. Robinson, E. Staee, Barnett, Mason, White, Reid, Bowser, etc. Personal. Miss Bull has returned from visiting her sister at Kaikoura. Miss Dene Clouston has returned from a most enjoyable holiday spent in Wellington. Miss Ursula Grace has returned from visiting friends in Nelson. Mrs. W. E.' Clouston (“St. Andrew’s”) is visiting Mrs. Munro at “Bank House.” Mr. and Mrs, W. Trolove (“The Shades”) have gone on a motor tour to Nelson. Miss Moira McNab has returned from visiting Mrs. Munro (“Bank House”). Mr. S. Macalister, who has been spending a few days with Mr. and Mrs. Neville, has returned to Wellington. Miss Cottie Western has been spending a few days in Wellington. Mr. and Mrs. Claude Mills have returned from a most enjoyable trip to Australia. Miss Ivy Ewart returned on Wednesday from a short stay in Nelson. Miss Howarth, who has been the guest of her sister (Mrs. Marsh) for some weeks, has returned to Wellington. Mrs. F. Broughton left on Thursday for the Empire City. Mrs. Woods, accompanied by Misses Woods (2) (Kaikoura), have been spending a few days with Miss McLaurin (Maxwell-road). Mr. and Mrs. J. Conolly and Miss Gard are in Wellington, staying at the Royal Oak. Mrs. D’Arcy Chaytor left on Tuesday to visit her people in Wellington. Miss Turner (“The .Sounds”) is at present the guest of Mrs. P. Stuart at .Spring Creek. Messrs. J. Mowat and A. MeLajiehlan have gone to Wanganui for a short holiday.
