Grain Stores Burned. Wright. Stephenson anil (’o.’s large corrugated iron grain -tore at Kelso was burned to the ground at 8 pin. on ♦Saturday. Tlu* lire is -uppo-cd to have originated in the engine room, where an oil engine was in-tailed, but the cause is a mystery. A rough r-timate plats** the damage between £lO.OOO and £12.000, including the loss of some 10.000 sacks of grain, merchandise. etc.; pra< tieally nothing was waved. The railway station, a wooden building, which lies alongside, was Raved by the united effort* of the stationmaster an<l men, .though it caught lire on several occasions. The insurance on the utore is rot obtainable s o far.
