Napier Council Election.

An election to fill the vacancy on the Napier Borough Council caused by the resignation of one of the Councillors disqualified by having exceeded the legal limits in supplies to the Corporation, was held last week, and resulted in the return of Mr. Malcolm Treston, a new aspirant for municipal honours. The voting was as follows:—Treston, 570; Montague Lascelles, 430; James Beagley, 164.
