Dear Bee, Oct. 30. “ Airs. Wiggs of the Cabbage Patch ’’ was played to excellent audiences in the Opera House on Tuesday and Wednesday evenings. Amongst the audiences were Airs. Allison, in a pale blue chiffon taffetas gown with lace on her corsage; Mrs. L. Jones in a black silk, with vest of cream and deep cream motifs; Mr. and Airs. Van Asch (Waitotara), the latter in a pretty white silk gown relieved with laee; Miss A. Cowper, Miss N. Cowper; Airs. Peel, black chiffon taffetas with vest and sleeves of cream net, shoulder straps of shk; Aliss J. Stewart, Aliss F. Stewart ; Airs. Bond (Wairarapa), white silk blouse with laee; Miss Newcombe, Aliss Towsey, Air. and Airs. Norris (Wellington), the latter wearing a becoming biack silk relieved with white, Airs. Barnicoat,
black silk gown with cream filch net, long pale blue cloth opent eoat profusely trimmed with cream motifs; Mrs. Wall, turquoise blue crepe de chiue with guag ings forming true lovers’ knots on the skirt and corsage, blue guaged satin opera coat; Mrs. J. Anderson, t>la:k chit fon taffetas gown with corsage of sequin net; Miss Anderson, white silk gown with
shoulder straps of laee. yoke of the -nine; Airs. Christie, white silk with laee; MisKnapp, Mrs. Jones, Miss O’Brien; Miss Nixon, pale blue crepe de china, blouse with fine laee yoke; her sister wore a white silk gown; Mrs. Wickham, black silk gown with becoming pale pink cloth opera coat, the collar and cuffs edged with while fur; Airs. Anderson, black satin
gown with white laee on her corsage; Mrs. D. Lethbridge (Turakina), wore a black chiffon taffetas with berthe of laee
and apray oi pink roues on her corsage, white opera coat with fur; Mrs. Sorley (Feilding), pale heliotrope crepe de chine gown with touches of pink on it, long opera coat of the same shaded cloth; Mrs. Hughes Johnston, white gown relieved with black, goev opera eoat with blue velvet collar; Mrs. Newcombe, black eilk with cream luee; Mrs. Godwin, Miss Clere, Mrs. Lranard*, pale blue silk with shoulder scurf of black silk lace; Lady Lockhart (Auckland), wore a black silk evening gown with lace, pale blue opera coat with motifs. PERSONALS. Mr. and Mrs. Van Asch, of Waitotara, have been staying in Wanganui for a few days. Mrs. Dodgshun, of Wanganui, left this Week for a visit to Wellington. The Misses Izard, of Christchurch, who have been staying in Wanganui with friends, have returned to their home. Mr. and Miss Stanford, of Wanganui, are staying with relations in New Plymouth. Mr. aud Mrs. Morris, of Wellington, are staying in Wanganui. Sir R. aud Lady Lockhart, of Auckland, were in Wanganui this week. From here they go to Christchurch for the Canterbury Spring Race meeting, HUI A.
