ASSOCIATION.
Dunedin Conference. At the conference of the Provincial -Association footoall delegates In Dunedin, the proposal that a South African team ba invited to tour the Dominion was approved. The majority of the delegates were unable to promise guarantees, aud it was considered that the year 1909 was unsuitable for the tour, because of the various counter attractions. Proposals that a New Zealand team should visit England, that an English team should visit New Zealand, and that a Western Australian team should also tour the Dominion, were referred back to the New Zealand Council. It was resolved that the New Zealand Football Association be asked to recommend the English Football Association to amend the rules, so as to prohibit blocking, aud to ask for a more explicit interpretation of the term blocking. Resolutions proposing the Instituting of regular inter-island matches, and the encouragement of more frequent iuterprovin* ciai contests, were approved.
