The Whakatika hockey girls gave A MOST ENJOYABLE DANCE in the Freemasons’ Hall last Thursday evening, and never have I seen the hall so packed; but as it was got up to obtain money to send a hockey team to Wanganui, one agreeably and pleasantly put up with all those little inconveniences. LADIES' CHAMPIONSHIP of the Nga. Mota Golf Club, between Miss Standish and 'Miss Hoskin, which was won by the former. PERSONAL ITEMS. Miss Ivy Alison (Auckland) paid Mrs Fraser (New Plymouth) a short visitbefore journeying on to Wellington. Miss Amy Kemp (New Plymouth) is visiting her sist r, Mrs Robison, of Te Aroha. Miss Madge Salmon (South- Africa). who has been the guest of Mrs Bedford, New Plymouth, is now visiting the Rev. Canon and Mrs Mac Murray, Parnell. Miss Vera Brett, of the Telephone Exchange, New Plymouth, has been transferred to the Auckland office. Miss Pratt, who has been for some time living in Christchurch, is on a visit to New Plymouth, and is at present the guest of Mrs Kyngdon.
