Last Friday Mrs Williams gave A VERY JOLLY EUCHRE PARTY at her charming new bouse, “Ashridge.” We had some splendid gramaphone music during the evening, and Miss Williams’ pleasing voice was much enjoyed. A’ tempting supper was served in the din-ing-room. The table was decorated with yellow flowers and maiden hair fern. The prizes were won by Miss Kennedy and Miss Anderson, Mr Spencer and Mr Thorburne. Miss Williams wore a black lace froek, bodice trimmed

McVay, black frock, white net vest and sleeves; Mjss Heath, white muslin and lace frock, white satin belt; Miss Greenstreet (Christchurch) wore an old rose pink tussore silk frock, under blouse of cream net, touches of pink velvet; Miss Miles (Timaru), bright blue silk poplin frock, white and blue kimono bodice; Miss F. Williams, cream net frock trimmed with lace; Mrs Londen, black lace froek. bodice outlined with blue velvet. PERSONALS. Miss Miles, of Timaru, is spending some Weeks in Napier. Mrs Hadfield, of Wellington, is on a visit to Napier. Mrs Lewis, of Wanganui, has been on a fortnights visit to Napier. Miss Pinckney, of Christchurch, is spending some weeks in Napier. Miss Greenstreet has returned to Christchurch from a holiday visit to Napier. Miss Mackenzie has returned to Napier from Gisborne. Miss Cotton, of Christchurch, is visiting friends in Napier. Mrs. Hutton has returned to Napier after spending some months in the Wairarapa. Mr and” Mrs. Johnstone, accompanied by. the Misses Johnstone, have left for a visit to England. Miss Williams, of Napier, is spending some weeks in Dunedin. Mrs McKay has returned to Napier from a visit to Feilding.
