Dear Bee, November 23. THE CAMBRIDGE CROQUET LAWNS were opened on Wednesday afternoon. The weather being perfect, there was a great display of pretty frocks. Mrs 0. Hunter (president) hit off the first ball and declared the lawns open. Amongst those I noticed were Mrs C. Hunter, in white embroidered coat and skirt and white hat; Mrs Earl, blue voile with cream trimmings, black hat; Mrs McCullagh, white blouse, blaek skirt, black hat;* Mrs McDermott, grey muslin, hat to match; Mrs Bell, white silk blouse, blue skirt, white hat; Mrs Bunyard, white dress, white picture hat; Mrs Cheyne, green voile, white hat; Mrs Young, black costume, black bonnet; Mrs Wallace, grey costume, white hat; Mrs Little, black costume, bat to match; Mrs L. Peak, grey, costume, cream dust coat, white hat; Mrs C. Peake, white dress, burnt straw hat trimmed with blue; Mrs Hayward, black dress trimmed with heliotrope, black bonnet to match; Mrs Garton, grey coat and skirt, burnt straw hat, trimmed with.' pink roses and blaek velvet; Mrs C. Roberts, grey blouse, black skirt, hat to match; Mrs B. Ferguson, white silk dress, white hat with navy trimmings; Mrs R. J. Roberts, grey dress with black bat; Mrs E. J. Wilkinson, white blouse, blaek skirt, white hat; Mrs Aspinall, black silk, bonnet to match; Mrs A. J. Edmunds, pink and white dress, hat to match; Mrs A. F. Stone, grey dress, hat to match: Miss Skeet, white dress and white hat; Miss Clark, pink dress, white hat; Miss Linzey. blue dress, hat to match; Miss D.
