WALKER—RODDY.

A wedding in which great interest was shown took place at Christ Church, Wanganui, on April 3, when Miss Ethel Roddy (only daughter of the late MiMartin, G. P. Roddy, and niece of Colonel Roddy and Colonel Hamilton (England), was married to Mr W. M. C. Walker, 8.A., of Cambridge, eldest son of Mr AV. Walker, of Auckland. There was a very largo assemblage of friends and onlookers.

The church looked very pretty with the white and green decorations. The ceremony was performed by—the Rev. Edgar Ward, of Dunedin. The bride, who was given away by her step father Mr G. Ross, was gowned in a very handsome white Duchesse satin, with court train, the folded corsage had a yoke of real Limerick lace, short puff sleeves, and high swathed belt. Iler long embroidered veil was arranged court style fulling from the back of the hair, and caught with coronet of orange blossoms. A cluster of blossoms finished the corsage. The bridesmaids were her cousin. Miss Ida Buller and Miss L. Walker, Auckland, sister of the bridegroom. They were attired in white silk dresses and white picture hats, and carried white and green shower bouquets. The bridegroom was attended by his brother Mr C. M. Walker and Mr Wade, both of Auckland. After the ceremony the bridal party and guests drove to Paranui, Putiki, the residence of Mr and Mrs Ross, where afternoon tea was served in a large marquee on the lawn. After the guests had admired the many presents, among which was a magnificent kiwi mat, the gift of Waki Kemp, daughter of the late Major Kemp. •Several native girls gave some poi dances. Mr and Mrs Walker left by the 4.45 train for the North en route to Auckland ami Rotorua, the bride wearing a navy blue tailorlmade cloth Eton costume, with lace vest and stylish white felt hat, trimmed with white wings and chiffon velvet, long black and white Empire coat, also tailor-made strapped with black velvet. Mrs Ross', the bride’s mother, wore a black satin robe, black bonnet, with touch of heliotrope and violet, heliotrope bouquet, with heliotrope streamers; Mrs Beard, sister of bride, electric blue gown, chiffon hat; Mrs Haybettie, navy blue tailor-made, scarlet hat; Mrs Roddy dark green tailor-made, pretty green toque; Mrs Hughes, white chiffon taffeta covered in black lace, black and white hat; Mrs Lennard, white chiffon voile, with sweet peas, and lined with white glaee silk, white crinoline straw hat, trimmed with white silk, sweet peas, and grasses, pale blue silk belt and parasol; Mrs Hardy, tailor-made brown costume, lace vest, and toque to match; Mrs Poynter, white linen, navy . blue straw trimmed with navy ribbon and wing; Mrs Ashton, navy blue costume, toque to match; Miss Ada Ashton, white silk muslin, white Tuscan straw with white ribbon and roses; Mrs Craig, floral muslin, hat to match; Mrs L.
