Dear Bee, A P ril 19 - I am glad to say that Napier is once more brightening up and, in fact, has been quite gay in its own quiet way during Easter. A very successful TENNIS TOURNAMENT was held up at the Seinde Courts, and as the weather was beautiful there were quite a number of onlookers. I noticed Airs. Gore wearing navy blue cloth eoat and skirt, faced with pale blue, laee vest, smart navy blue toque; Miss Burke, pretty pale blue flowered muslin dress, blue “muslin hat ; Mrs. Bowen, lavender cheek muslin dress, lavender and white toque; Mrs. Duncan, white and blue spotted muslin dress, crossover blouse trimmed with lace, violet floral hat; Mrs. Stopford, brown voile dress trimmed with laee. blue and brown toque; Mrs. Pavit, black satin Monse with laee yoke, black voile skirt, clack picture, hat: Airs Broad, pretty white lace blouse, nary blue skirt, smart red hat; Miss Kennedy, neat eream Eton coat and skirt, white hat: Mrs. Stead man, fawn voile dress over silk trimmed with cream lace, white chiffon toque; Airs. A very ENJOYABLE LITTLE DANCE was given by Mrs. Dinwiddle on Wednesday night on the occasion of her daughter’s marriage. Mrs. Dinwiddio received her guests in black voile relieved with white. Miss Dinwiddie wore a pretty white muslin dress trimmed with lace and chiffon; Alias S. Dinwiddie* pale blue accordion-pleated muslin frock; Miss Dean, pale blue silk dress, bodies relieved with flowers: Miss Todd, dainty white silk dress, bodice trimmed with lace; Miss Goldsmith, pale green chiffon dress relieved with cream laee; Alias McLean, dainty white muslin, and lacs over silk; Miss Kennedy, black silk dress, bodice relieved with white lace; Miss Pasely. white silk dress trimmed with blue; Miss Hill, pretty tucked silk dress refieved with red: Miss Brewer, cream muslin and lace dress: Miss Simpson, pale pink silk costume, bodice trimmed with lace; Miss Davis, white silk dress. Amongst the men present I noticed. Messrs. Lysnar. Gregory, Dinwiddie. Raymond. Brabant, Hill.
