Dear Bee, September 22. Mrs S. Gordon gave a most enjoyable PROGRESSIVE BRIDGE PARTY for her daughter. Miss Gresson, who has just returned from a visit to England and the Continent. The prizes were won by Miss Aiken and Mr Silk. Amongst those present were Mesdanjes Gordon, Stevenson. Izard, Waterson, Misses Gresson (2), O. Stanford, Aiken (Waikanae), McNeill, Barnard-Brown, G. Litliton. electric blue silk frock, with gauged corsage and berthe of lace, full silk sleeves with frill of lace; Mrs A. Delves, Mrs Speed, Air and Airs Aleuli, Alessrs Jardine, Watson, Silk, Afeklrum, Kissling. and many others. On Wednesday the competitions in the ladies' GOLL TOURNAMENT were payed off. The weather was cold and heavy showers fell all the afternoon. Afternoon tea was provided by Alisses Krull, Earle and Alason. The senior driving competition was won by Aliss llawkcn with Miss (). Stanford second. Miss Cleghorn won in the juniors. Afiss Taylor was first in the appioachirig: competition, Aliss O. Stan- " ford being second. Airs Cleghorn and Aliss Stanford twice tied for the senior putt and Miss Stanford proved victorious in the third trial. The junior putt was won by Miss G reason after two ties with Miss Rawson. Amongst those on the links were Alesdames Chris--1 ie, Anderson, Alason. Dyer, Cleghorn, Fairburn. Mis-e* Conper (2), Stanford (2). Krull, Christie, Young, Hawken, Henderson, Anderson, Brabant.
