The .Wanganui Orchestral Club’s FIRM’ CONCERT OF ’HIE SEASOX, held in St. Paul’s Hall on August 3rd, was most successful. Long before the opening number the hall was crowded. Mr Leslie Peek. the new conductor. has done wonders witli the material at his command, ami seems to have inspired those who respond to his baton with sonic of his own enthusiasm. The two vocalists. Miss Kate Best, of Auckland, and Dr. Kingston Fyffe, of Wellington, were well received, and each of their contributions was warmly eneonxi.
