Dear Bee, March 13. There was a large attendance of players, as welt as lady friends, at the BOWLING GREEN last Thursday afternoon to bid farewell to Mr Hall (club secretary), who, with his wife and daughter, is going for a trip to the Old Country. Afternoon tea was provided by Mesdaines Paul, Fraser, J. Avery, Mills and Miss Mace, assisted by Misses Morey (2), Fraser (2) and Avery, the tea room being very prettily decorated for the occasion. During the afternoon Mr Paul (president) presented Mr Hall with a handsome gold watch, and with it a very pleasant little speech, to which Mr Hall suitably replied, and after “For he’s a jolly good fellow” was sung and three cheers were given the players went on with their game.
