LATE SOCIETY NEWS NEW PLYMOUTH.

Dear Bee, June 28. A FAREWELL “AT HOME” was held in the Theatre Royal last Friday evening by the citizens for Lady Ranfurly. The hall and stage were splendidly decorated with ferns and flags, while beneath the gallery was arranged as a drawing room, for the convenience of those attending the function. The dais to the left of the hall was luxuriously arranged with lounges, chairs and cushions. The latter, witn the handsome carpet, gave a brilliant touch of colour to the room. The supper was arranged behind the stage, and was in the able hands of Mr. A. Lealand. Lady Ranfurly was accompanied by Lady Constance Knox and Major Alexander, and as they entered the hall they were received by His Worship the Mayor and Mrs. Cock, and Lady Ranfurly was presented with a lovely shower bouquet by the latter, while Miss Cock paid a similar compliment to Lady Constance Knox.
