WELLINGTON.

Dear Bee, Nov. 16. A very pleasant afternoon At Home was given to-day by the Bev. T. H. and Mrs Sprott at the new Viearage, in Bolton-street. To give all her friends the opportunity of seeing the large, fine house Mrs Sprott is also to be At Home on to-morrow and Saturday afternoons. To-day Mrs Sprott received in the hall, and was wearing a black silk gown, the bodice trimmed with handsome cream silk lace and blaek velvet bands; Miss Sprott wore a pale green figured muslin with sash of art brown silk. The whole house was thrown open and the guests wandered about inspecting the different pretty rooms, etc. Tea was served in a smaller room off the hall, the table being prettily arranged with flowers. Amongst those present 1 noticed Mrs Leckie, wearing a black silk erepon gown with lace, and a black and white bonnet; Mrs Firth, blaek coat and skirt with white silk revers, blaek toque trimmed with pink; Mrs Dunean. blaek gown ami short jetted cape, jetted bonnet with white ospreys; Mrs Friend, black; Miss Friend, navy blue suit and sailor hat; Mrs Waters, red doth braided gown and straw hat trimmed with poppies and grass; Mrs Howarth, rich black brocade gown and bonnet to match; Mrs Grace, black tailor-made costume, stylish bonnet trimmed with chiffon and ospreys; Mrs Smith, black gown and velvet cape, bonnet with tips; Miss Smith, grey jacket and skirt and white hat with chiffon and quills; Miss Smith, in a brown costume; Mrs F. Allen, fawn jacket and skirt and black straw- hat with tips; Mrs Kennedy, dark coat and skirt, and sailor hat; Mrs Palmer, black brocade gown and short jetted cape, blaek bonnet with flowers; Miss Palmer, blue suit and sailor hat; the Misses Chatfield, grey checked gowns and pretty light hats; Mrs Butts, black silk erepon, and black and white bonnet; Miss Butts, black coat and skirt and white hat with flowers; Mrs Beauchamp, brown gown trimmed with white silk and turquoise velvet, hat to match; Mrs F. Dyer, black skirt and blaek and white figured silk blouse; Mrs Martin, dark blue and white figured silk gown and hat to match; Miss Martin, in a light muslin gown and white hat; Airs Tuckey, black brocade gown, black bonnet with tips and velvet; Miss Atkinson, black coat and skirt and black hat trimmed with violets; Mrs A. Smith, dark blue tailormade suit and blaek toque with flowers; Miss Smith, royal blue gown and feather boa. white tulle hat with quills; Mrs Waldegrave, pale biscuit and mauve coloured gown and small hat to match; Miss O. Gore, pale heliotrope muslin gown and sailor hat; .Mrs Birch, grey jacket and skirt, and blaek hat with tips; Mrs C. Birch, pretty soft grey gown with white satin on the bodice, large blaek hat with blaek and white tips; Mrs and Miss Ingles, Mrs and Miss Kennedy, Miss Fisher, and many more.
