Dear Bee, September 5. Since Monday it ha.? rained every day. One doesn't object to a rainy day now and then, but when it pours steadiiy for six days it becomes slightly monotonous. On the one fairly fine night of the week < Wednesday*, the Misses Campbell and Drummond invited a few friends to their DANCING CLASS. which was kept up rather later than usual. Amongst those present were Mrs Gordon, in a pretty delaine costume; Miss Drummond. blue frock ; Miss A. Drummond, dark skirt, blue blouse ; Miss B. Campbell, dark skirt, white blouse: Miss Foster (Christchurch). dark skirt, very pretty blue blouse trimmed with lace: Miss Adair, handsome white satin blouse, dark skirt: Mias Crawford, black costume : Miss N. Crawford, dark skirt, white blouse; Miss CotterilL pink blouse and black skirt: Miss A. Pasley, pretty pink blouse, dark skirt: Miss L. Beere. light blouse, dark skirt; Miss It. Beere. black skirt and blue blouse. I had no room in my last letter to tell you of the concert in aid of the church, given in the Sunday-school Room. Amongst the audience were Mesdames Innes. C. Dunlop. Mann. Wiilock. Webb. Misses Wii iamson. Willis. Campbell, Drummond. A. Drummond, Cotterill. etc.
