Dear Bee, October 6. Euchre parties an* still as fashionable as ever. I have two to tell you about this week. On Wednesday Miss IHrtleman gave A SMALL KfCIIKE PARTY tor Miss Jean Anderson (Christchurch). There were five tables, and the top prizes were won by Miss Edith Shand and Mr Charlie Morris; the boobies w'ere Miss Maeassey and Mr Sleigh- The supper table looked remarkably pretty, a number of vases with jonquils and heath were placed all about the table. Miss Bartieman received her guests in the drawing-room, and she was attired in a dainty white silk trimmed with chiffon; Miss Batchelor wore a becoming fawn ergpon trimmed with salmon pink silk, and feathers on the shoulders; Miss Shand, heliotrope silk covered with black net, large revers of black satin edged with jet; Miss Edith Shand, handsome white brocade with deep frill of lace round the neck ; Miss Aggie Bober’s, black surah silk, handsomely trimmed with jet and black chiffon ; Miss Jessie Moodie. black silk covered with net, large salmon pink silk sleeves ; Miss Wyatt (Adelaide), pink flowered silk trimmed with white lace; Miss Morris, grey silk lavishly trimmed with silver: Miss Ella Morris, red nun’s-veilling trimmed with white lace; Miss Jean Anderson (Christchurch*, white nun’s-veiling trimmed with white chiffon; Miss Ethel Maeassey. pale blue silk blouse trimmed with insertion: Miss Ethel Neill, white nun's-veilling. The Messrs Ramsay. Harris. Tapley, Men love, Maeassey, Webster. Morris, Robinson, Sleigh, Henry, and others. On Thursday afternoon Miss Ida Carew* gave a small AFTERNOON TEA for her cousin, Mirs Diegei* (Wanganui). The table was very prettily decorated with pale green crinkled paper and bright yellow bulb flowers. The tempting sweets which were placed all about the rooms were very much liked. Miss Carew wore a very stylish tailor-made dress of brown hopsacking made with a long basque, and trimmed with brown braid: her cousin wore a very becoming dress of blue cashmere with vest of pale blue silk. Her guests were Misses Aggie Roberts, Edith Shand. Fanny Hodg kins. May Morris. Ella Morris. Jean Anderson (Christchurch). Webster, E.
