This at once hardens the loosened dirt and soap (the grey scum) and hardens it back into the texture of material wringer only presses it more firmly in. To wring scalding hot clothes damages hands and impoverishes rubber rollers of wringer. Invariably with most careful washing there is collection of buttons, hooks, etc., at bottom of tubcaused by wash board and wringer. Clothes are not once touched by hand until ready for line. Scalding water rinse removes every trace of soap and loosened dirt. The water is rushed through the fabric at a rate that leaves every thread spotlessly clean. Latin - dry - cite rinses and wrings clothes wringer-dry without touching them with hands and there arc no rubber rollers to damage. Laun-dry-ettc never yet broke a button or pulled one off.
