I fiver son-T ho mas — Wilson-Travis VERY pretty wedding was solemnised at St. Matthew’s Church, Wellesley Street, Auckland, recently, the contracting parties being Miss Marjorie Irene Wilson--1 ravis, and Richard IfwersonThomas. The bride, who entered the church on the arm of her father, looked charming in a model frock of ivory crepe de chine, heavily embroided in small pearl beads with large pearl ornament trailing at the side. Her train, which was caught from the shoulders, was shell pink crepe-de-chine, lined with dainty rucked blue georgette beaded in one corner to form a large pearl lover’s knot and decorated in tiny sprays of orange blossom up the train. A beautiful coronet of pearls and tiny sprays of orange blossom on either side of the bride’s head held the long veil. The bride carried a shower bouquet of dahlias, lilies and maiden hair fern with flowing ribbon and tulle streamers. Miss Pauline Burkhardt acted charmingly as chief bridesmaid in a modelled early Victorian frock of apple green taffeta decorated daintily with pale pink and mauve rose buds. Her hat, of early Victorian shape, in apple green and black georgette, was finished with a huge posie and streamers caught under the chin and face at one side, and carried a shower bouquet of ’ pink and white flowers. Miss Noeline Henderson made a charming second bridesmaid. Harrison, of New Plymouth, ■to Mr. Gordon Saunders, only son of Mr. and Mrs. A. Saunders, of Christchurch, took place at St. Mary’s Church, New Plymouth, on a recent evening, the ceremony being performed by the vicar, the Rev. F. G. Harvie. was lined with silver tissue and finished with a true lovers’ knot in silver tissue, and orange blossom in each corner. The veil was embroidered with silk net and caught at the sides with orange blossom. The bridesmaid, Miss Mae Harrison, sister of the bride, wore shell pink georgette over silk, trimmed with tiny frills, and wore a veil with blue flowers and silver tissue in her hair. The best man was Mr. Charlie Collins. he mother of the bride wore a frock of black accordion-pleated georgette over satin, black hat with black ospreys. The bride travelled in a coat frock of fawn jacquard, trimmed with a darker shade of fur and embroidered in the same shade as the hat. The bride’s bouquet was of white roses and speciosum lilies, with maiden-hair fern, a ribbon shower of bebe ribbon finished with wee poses of lily of the valley. The bridesmaid carried a bouquet of blue nigella and delphinium, frilled with delphinium and tulle tied with numerous streamers of delphinium and blue bebe ribbon. The bouquet carried by the bride’s mother comprised scarlet cactus dahlia and zinnias, tied with scarlet ribbons. The happy couple left by motor-car for the south. * * * * Cunningham Cameron RECENTLY, at St. Stephen’s, Marton, the marriage took place of Miss Freda Fanny Cameron, elder daughter of Mr. and Mrs. H. J. Cameron, of “Glenmore,” Turakina Valley, to Mr. Stuart Allan Cunningham, youngest son of Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Cunningham, late of Cluny,” Turakina Valley. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. J. B. Reed. The bride, who was given in marriage by her father, wore a simple frock of headed white crepe georgette, and carried a bouquet of mauve and gold shades. She was attended by Miss Elope Cunningham, sister of the bridegroom, who wore a frock of pale blue and green shot silk, and black hat, and carried a bouquet of palest pink. groom was attended by Mr. L. Tony Melville, of Fordell, in the capacity of best man.
