Nurse Maude, so well known m Christchurch, has been m Wellington for a brief period, and on the 9th October gave an address m the Sydney Street Schoolroom on "Incarnation." The Bishop was m the chair, and prior to the address the audience was served with afternoon tea, provided by Mrs. Sprott and Lady Rhodes. The address was one of a number which Nurse Maude has been giving m connection with the healing mission of Mr. Hickson. Nurse Maude spoke beau-
tifully on the Incarnation of Jesus Christ, describing the "Annunciation" and eloquently speaking of the Virgin Mary, her youth and lowly position, and emphasising the humility of Our Lord m thus becoming human by making Himself the least of all things and entering the world through the medium of a human birth. Nurse Maude stressed the need of continued prayer and faith, even when no sign of physical cure is apparent, and gave instances to show that even after the lapse of years healing has been effected.
