Canterbury

During the last three months the usual meetings have been held in the Board Room of the Christchurch Hospital, which has, since the branch was started, been lent by the trustees. It is felt that it will be necessary to get some room for the Association

which can be used for the meetings and lectures, and also for social purposes, as a club room for members. At a recent meeting it was proposed that the General Council should, at the meeting in November, especially consider the altera-

tion of some of the provisional rules, as previously suggested by Christchurch. An informal meeting of the Council was called together by the President (Mrs. Irving) to meet Miss Maclean when last in Christchurch,

and several matters relating to the general Association were discussed. Several delegates from Christchurch hope to attend the Central Council meeting.
