Missing Friends.

Wanted the whereabouts of William Eord, 8 years old, whose father recently left Christchurch for England. The boy was supposed to have been staying with somebody in Lyttelton, but no trace of him is obtainable there. The inquiry is made at the instance of Elizabeth Morrison, of Dunedin, who will pay the boy’s expenses by steamer to Dunedin, it found. Wanted the whereabouts of William Hannam, or Hannan, a native of Yorkshire, 40 years, oft. 10in., dark complexion, inclined to sallow, long features, prominent nose, hazel eyes, dark brown hair, and light brown whiskers and beard, an old scar on right side of mouth, upper lip and cheek, a labourer and shearer; came to this Province from that of Marlborough, some little time ago in company with a man named Roberts, and was working with him near Southbridge. He is now said to be in some of the Bays upon the Peninsula.

Inquiry should be made as to the present whereabouts of Charles Moore Thurston, of middle age, following the business of a contractor. He is said to have resided in Christchurch same time ago. His wife, in San Francisco, is most anxious to hear from him. Inquiry should be made amongst Freemasons as well as others, and the result communicated to the Commissioner of Police, Christchurch.

Tom Price, present age 23, probably slender and above the average height, hair likely to be auburn and eyes very dark ; last heard of in September, 1873, when he was working at a circular saw

mill in Waitnate, but then slated his intention of going to Oamaru. He is a nephew of Miss Barnwell, Oriel Cottage, Albury Street, Dunedin, at whose request this inquiry is set on foot. Information to be sent to the Commissioner of Police, Christchurch.
