List of Appointments, &c., since the publication of the last list:—

REDUCTION S. Eirst-class Constable Thomas Treloar reduced to the rank of second-class Constable.

An entry has been made in Detective Richard Dyer’s meritorious conduct sheet for the zeal and efficiency displayed by him in the arrest and prosecution of one Catherine Stewart for stealing from the person.

Information is requested respecting John Ryan, a Tipperary man, aged 38, 5 feet 6 inches high, stout build; sandy complexion, and slightly pockmarked. He left Melbourne for New Zealand in 1862, and was last heard of at the Molyneux diggings, wßere he may have left for the West Coast diggings. Margaret Bloxom, his sister, offers £2O for certain information respecting him. He left money in some of the Melbourne Banks. —11th September, 1867.

Hector McKay, charged on warrant with wife desertion, has been arrested by the Leithfield Police and remanded to Timaru. (See Canterbury Police Gazette, No. 18, p. 167.)

James Powrie, charged with embezzling £7500, the money of his employers, A. W. and W. H. Eletcher, of Cape Town, Cape of Good Hope, has been arrested in England.
