Deserters from Merchant Vessels.

Prom the ship Zambesi, Port Lyttelton, on the Bth October, 1863.—Captain McNeil.

1. George Corlcher, an Englishman, 23 years of age, 5 feet 5 inches high, dark complexion, whiskers, and moustache ; very dark, rather cunning appearance. 2. Auguste Neugershenden, a German, 29 years of age, 5 feet high, light sandy beard, speaks broken English.—loth October, 1863.

From the American ship Trumbull, at Lyttelton, on the 14th October, 1863. —Captain Cummins.

Jim, a Yankee, about 32 years of age, 5 feet 11 inches high, dark complexiqn, hair, whiskers, and moustache; stout, powerfully-built man; stooped shoulders, slovenly gait, beard and whiskers cropped short, very broad face, and sun-burnt; wore black cloth frock-coat, dark trousers, and black, wide-awake hat. The captain offers £5 reward for this man’s apprehension. —14th October, 1863.

From the ship Lancashire Witch, Lyttelton, on the night of the 20th October, 1863.—Captain West. 1. Henry Lewis, an Englishman, 27 years of age 5 feet 7 inches high, stout build, light complexion, light hair, and light sandy beard on chin; hair curly. _2. James Creed, an Englishman, 5 feet 7 inches high, 32 years of age, light build, dark complexion, dark brown chubby features ; has the mark of a large gash under jaw.

3- Littlejohn, a Scotchman, 28 years of age, 5 feet 9 inches high, stout build, light freckled complexion, light hair, no beard or whiskers, very long nose. —21st October, 1863.

From the barque Holyrood, at Lyttelton, on the night of the 20th October, 1863.—Captain Creaster. Frederick Golding, an Englishman, 22 years of age, 5 feet 4 inches high, dark complexion, no beard, very little whiskers, fair. Wore long boots, a blue guernsey shirt, blue cloth cap, had a swag; was seen going towards Port Levy. A reward of £5 is offered for his apprehension. — 22nd October, 1863.
