From ship Accrington, Port Lyttelton, on night of the 20th instant. —Captain Christie. 1. William Woefley, an Englishman, 2-1 years of age, 5 ft. 6 in., stout build, sallow complexion, dark hair, very little beard. 2. William Nash, an Englishman, 27 years of age, thin build, dark hair, beard and whiskers, 5 ft. 8 in. high. 3. John Painter, an Englishman, 25 years of age, 5 ft. 8 in. high, stout build, ruddy complexion, brown hair and whiskers. 4. William Pottinger, an Englishman, 20 years of age, 5 ft. 6 in. high, medium build, pale complexion. 5. William Webster, an Englishman, 19 years of age, pale faced and soft looking, no beard or whiskers ; upper lip turns up when laughing.—Warrants issued.
From ship Epsom, Port Lyttelton, on the night of the
11th instant
John Condon, 24 years of age, 5 ft. 6 in. high, medium build, very little whiskers, bleary eyes, broad Irish accent. —13.9.63.
From ship Captain Cook, Port Lyttelton, on the night of the 26th September, 1863.—Captain Cleever. 1. Thomas Parsons, an Englishman, 5 ft. 7 in. high, thin build, long features, sharp nose, clean shaved on chin ; about 27 years of age. 2. John Hack, is a German, 5 ft. 6 in. high, stout build, large bushy whiskers, speaks broken English; about 40 years of age. 3. Frank Kesir, an Englishman, 5 ft. 7 in. high, stout build, sandy complexion, round features; about 37 years of age. 4. John Bennett, an Englishman, 5 ft. 5 in., stout build, fair complexion, large beard, but no moustache; about 38 years of age. 5. William Thomas, an Englishman, 5 ft. 6 in. high, dark complexion, little beard under the chin, thin build and sharp features ; about 27 years of age. 6. Leslie Eastwood, an Englishman, 5 ft. 9 in. high, dark complexion, very little hair about the face, slight person, speaks with Yankee dialect; about 34 years of age. A reward of £2 10s. is offered by the Captain for the apprehension of each of these deserters, or any other leaving his ship hereafter.
