Notes.—(1) During 1948-49 the balances in the following reserve accounts (which appear in the Balance-sheet as at 31st March, 1948) were transferred to Assurance and Reserve Fund and the accounts were closed : (o) Reserve against unpaid interest, £1,218 ; (b) special reserve against claims, £159. (2) During 1948-49 the sum of £5OO was paid from Assurance and Reserve Fund in terms of section 9 of the Maori Purposes Act, 1948, in connection with" the Rotorua Guesthouse. T. T.
