1947 NEW ZEALAND
STANDARDS COUNCIL (Department of Industries and Commerce) ANNUAL REPORT FOR THE YEAR 1946-47
Presented to both Houses of the General Assembly by Leave
The Hon. A. H. Nordmeyer, Minister of Industries and Commerce. Sir, — I have the honour to submit herewith the annual report of the Standards Council for the year ended 31st March, 1947. I have, &c., L. J. McDonald, Executive Officer.
REPORT OBITUARY The death of the Hon. D. G. Sullivan is recorded with profound regret. This opportunity is taken to pay a tribute to the late Minister, who was responsible for the establishment of the New Zealand Standards Institute and the passing of the legislation which brought it into being. His able direction and never-failing support of the Council and staff during the ten years he was responsible for the administration of the Institute have been deeply appreciated.
