Extracts from the Journals of the House of Representatives Thursday, the 27th Day of June, 1946 Ordered, " That a Select Committee be appointed, consisting of ten members, to consider all Bill 8 or other matters relating to labour which may be referred to it: the Committee to consist of MrChapman, Mr. Coleman, Mr. Hackett, the Hon. Mr. Hamilton, Mr. Holland, Miss Howard, MrMcKeen, Mr. Poison, Mr. Sheat, and the Mover."—(Hon. Mr. O'Brien.) Thursday, the 4th Day op July, 1946 Ordered, " That the Apprentices Amendment Bill be referred to the Labour Bills Committee."— (Hon. Mr. O'Brien.) Tuesday, the 23rd Day oe July, 1946 Ordered, " That the Factories Bill be referred to the Labour Bills Committee."—(Hon. Mr. O'Brien.) Friday, the 6th Day oe September, 1946 Ordered, " That the name of Mr. Sheat be discharged from the Labour Bills Committee and that of Mr. W. Sullivan substituted therefor." —(Hon. Mr. O'Brien.) Thursday, the 26th Day op September, 1946 Ordered, " That the Shops and Offices Amendment Bill be referred to the Labour Bills Committee." —(Hon. Mr. O'Brien.)

REPORTS

Appkenttces Amendment Bill I have the honour to report that the Labour Bills Committee has heard evidence on, and has carefully considered, the Apprentices Amendment Bill, and recommends that it be allowed to proceed with amendments shown on the copy of the Bill hereto attached. 22nd July, 1946.
