(а) Estimated amount required for coal-winning at the Blackball Mine. (б) £60,000 provided on Main Estimates. Provision necessary for stores for Blackball Mine. (c) The purchase-price of the Blackball Colliery. (d) Provision for any new plant required during financial year 1941-42. (e) The accommodation for single minors at Mangapeki is inadequate, and a hostel to accommodate a number of single men is needed. (/) £7,000 provided on Main Estimates. Consequent upon acquisition of Blackball and additional miners employed in the two North Island State mines, an increase in this item is considered necessary. (g) Estimated cost of installing a bowser at the Wellington Depot. (h) Purchase of residence to accommodate new District Manager of West Coast State mines.
