Praying that the Native Land Court be empowered to inquire into the interests of the Ngatitu sub-tribe in the amount of compensation for confiscated lands paid by the Government to the Taranaki Maori Trust Board. I am directed to report that the Committee has no recommendation to make. 14th August, 1941.

No. 71/1940. —Petition of Ema Hoera Ruihi, of Moteo, Puketapu. Praying that legislation be enacted enabling her to succeed to the estate of the late Hoera Mei Maihi. I am directed to report that in the opinion of the Committee this petition should be referred to the Government for favourable consideration. 21st August, 1941.
