Extracts from the Journals of the House of Representatives. Friday, the 6th Day op September, 1935. Ordered, " That a Select Committee be appointed, consisting of ten members, to consider all matters pertaining to agricultural and pastoral industries and stock which may be referred to it, with power to confer and sit together with any similar Committee which may be appointed by the Legislative Council, and to agree to a joint or separate report: the Committee to consist of Mr. Burnett, Mr. Coleman, Mr. Kyle, Mr. Langstone, Mr. Lye, Mr. W. W. Massey, Mr. McCombs, Mr. Poison, Mr. Reid, and the Mover." — (Hon. Mr. Macmillan.) Tuesday, the 10th Day op September, 1935. Ordered, " That all petitions not finally dealt with during the session of 1934-35 be again referred to the same Committees as they were referred to during the said session." —(Eight Hon. Mr. Forbes.) Thursday, the 24th Day op October, 1935. Ordered, " That the Agricultural and Pastoral Committee have leave to sit during the present sitting of the House." —(Mr. Burnett, for Mr. Kyle.)

REPORTS.

No. 117. —Petition of W. E. Cayley-Alexander, of Piopio. Praying that his liabilities to the Crown in respect of his farm be written off, in consideration of services rendered in connection with the eradication of ragwort. I have the honour to report that in the opinion of the Committee the petition should be referred to the Government for favourable consideration. Bth October, 1935.

No. 228, 1933.—Petition of Kakaramea Co-operative Dairy Co., Ltd., and 8 Other Dairy Companies). Praying for the amendment of the regulations under the Dairy Industry Act, 1908. I have the honour to report that, the member presenting the petition having requested permission to withdraw it, the Committee recommends that he be allowed to do so. H. S. S.
