The cost per acre inclusive of buildings and stock was less than £7 an acre up to the 31st March, 1933. « c."—WAIARIKI MAORI LAND DISTRICT. In the statement presented during the session of 1932 the schemes in this district were arranged in two groups, (1) Rotorua and (2) Bay of Plenty. The latter group is dealt with in a separate paper, G.-lOc of the present session, but summaries are incorporated in this statement. 1. Rotorua Group. The following is a summary showing the expenditure and receipts of the schemes included in this group as at the 31st March, 1933 : —
Summary of Expenditure and Receipts.
This summary excludes the Taheke Scheme, which was financed by the funds of the Waiariki Maori Land Board up to the end of March, 1933. The accounts of Okere and Tikitere Schemes are subject to adjustments, owing to a rearrangement of the former Mourea and Taheke Schemes. No receipts are shown as credited to the Maketu Farm Account. A separate trading account was kept for that scheme, the surplus or deficiency on which would be transferred to the capital account. In the last year the deficiency was £134. The position of all schemes in the Rotorua district was discussed m detail m the statement G.-10, presented during the session of 1932. The following information may be added to bring the progress reports on the development work up to the 31st March, 1933 : — (a) Waipapa Bush,.—The following return of fencing and other material split in this bush and the distribution of the same up to the 22nd March, 1933, is supplied by the Rotorua office
