NATIVE LAND DEVELOPMENT. STATEMENT BY THE HON. SIR APIRANA T. NGATA, NATIVE MINISTER.

Presented to both Houses of the General Assembly by Leave.

This statement is in continuation of parliamentary paper G.-10, presented during the session of 1932 and covers the financial year ending the 31st March, 1933. Sectional detailed reports are dealt with in separate papers as follows : — G.-lOb : Relating to schemes in the Maniapoto (King-country) Section of the WaikatoManiapoto Maori Land District. G.-lOc : Relating to schemes in the Bay of Plenty Section of the Waiariki Maori Land District. Gr.—loe : Relating to the Ranana Scheme in the Aotea Maori Land District. It is proposed to deal in this way with groups of schemes in other districts, as data become completely available. The accounts published in the schedules to this statement have been prepared to show m as great detail as possible the expenditure on each scheme from the commencement thereof to the 31st March, 1933, and the receipts from collections under various headings—cream, wool, live-stock, unemployment subsidies, and other sources. Plans accompany the statement and schedules showing as far as possible the progress of each scheme to the 31st March, 1933, and the extent of pasturing, fencing, and other improvements.
