Fraudulent withdrawal from savings - bank 44 0 0 Offender sentenced to three years' imprisonment with account hard labour. Loss to Department, £44. Theft of cash and two mail-bags 4 16 6 Offender sentenced to three years' imprisonment with hard labour for the theft of mail-bags and to three months' imprisonment for theft of money, the sentences to be concurrent. Loss to Department £4 16s. 6d. Theft of mail-bags from Post Office .. .. .. Matter was investigated by police without result. No loss of cash. Thefts from street posting-boxes .. .. .. Offenders (three) were found guilty on numerous charges of breaking, entering, and theft. One was sentenced to five years' hard labour, the others to detention in a Borstal Institution for three years and two years respectively. No loss to Department resulted.
