Native Department, Wellington, 25th September, 1929. Petition No. 213 of 1926. —Ngakaraihe te Rongo (deceased). Pursuant to section 35 of the Native Land Amendment and Native Land Claims Adjustment Act, 1926, I transmit herewith report of the Court upon the above petition. Memorandum for the Chief Judge, Native Land Court, Wellington. Rangipo North and other Blocks, and Succession to Ngakaraihe te Rongo. I have the honour to inform you that the Court sat at Wanganui on the 25th ultimo to hold the inquiry directed by you in pursuance of section 35 of the Native Land Amendment and Native Land Claims Adjustment Act, 1926, into the petition, No. 213 of 1926, of Moroati Taiuru, praying for further hearing as to succession to Ngakaraihe te Rongo (deceased), and I have to report as follows : —• Mr. Clark, of the firm of Messrs. Watt, Currie, and Jack, solicitors, Wanganui, appeared for the petitioner, and stated, " As the petition refers solely to the claims of the next-of-kin as against the adopted children, and as the next-of-kin do not propose to make any further claim, there is nothing at present for the Court to inquire into."
