Tt will be seen from the above table that the main increase has been in the number of Division I teachers (graduates). The average rates of salary on the 30th June, 1927, were as follows : Principals (male), £638 (excluding house allowance). Assistants—Men, £400 ; women, £255 ; both, £342. All teachers (principals and assistants) —Men, £426 ; women, £255 ; both, £363. With the inclusion of manual-training teachers employed by Education Boards the average rates of salary for all teachers (including Principals of technical schools) graded under the Regulations for Manual and Technical Instruction were as as follows : Men, £404 ; women, £244 ; both, £342. ♦ Evening Technical Classes and Part-time Day Classes. Classes were held at forty-one centres, as compared with forty-eight in the previous year.
