Praying that claims to succeed to Papa Mauroa Pera (deceased) in Tutira, Awa-o-totara, and Arapawanui Blocks be inquired into, and relief be granted in accordance with Maori custom. I am directed to report that the Committee is of opinion this petition should be referred to the Government for favourable consideration. 14th September, 1927. Petitioners claim to be the lawful descendants of Tapui (deceased) in Kaungaroa No. 3 Block ; they pray for readjustment of the title, and exclusion of certain persons now residing on the block.
