No. 50/1927. - Petition of Kaka Porowini. Petitioners allege that, through a mistake made by the Government valuer in reporting that no marketable timber existed on the Mangakowliara Block when the land was sold, they suffered great loss, and they pray that inquiry be made into the circumstances of the sale, so that they may recover what is justly due to them. 1 am directed to report that the Committee is of opinion this petition should be referred to the Government for inquiry. 31st August, 1927.
