STATE ADVANCES OFFICE. APPLICATIONS FOR LOANS FOR NEW HOUSES (RETURN OF).

Return to an Order of the House of Representatives dated 13th August, 1924. Ordered, "That there be laid before this House a return showing—(l) The number of applications for loans for new houses received by the State Advances Department; (2) the number of such applications considered by the Advances Board; (3) the number declined; (4) the number in respect of which it was a.greed that loans should be granted; and (5) the number in respect of which any portion of the loan has been paid: the return to show the above information for the three following periods—jo) from the passing of the (State Advances Amendment Act, 1923, to date; (6) from tho Ist October, 1923, to date; and (c) from the Ist January, 1924, to date."—(Mr. Sidjsy.)

Statement showing the Number of Applications received for Loans for New Houses, the Number considered by the Board, the Number declined, the Number granted, and the Number, in respect of which any Portion of the Loan has been paid. The information is shown for the three following periods: Ist August, 1923, to 3.lst August, 1924 ; Ist October, 1923, to 31st August, 1924; Ist January, 1924, to 31st August, 1.924.
